GFA spokesperson Mr. Henry Asante Twum claimed on JoyNews’ The Probe on Sunday that more than 2,000 Ghanaians living in Qatar have expressed a desire to attend the stadium on Thursday to support the players.
On November 24, 2022, the Ghanaian Black Stars will face off against the Portuguese team in the World Cup competition, which got underway on Sunday in Qatar.
Following their victory over Switzerland in the most recent friendly match, support for the national team appears to be growing among the community.
It is still to be seen if the players will obtain the necessary crowd support to motivate them throughout the competition.
Mr. Twum gave the assurance that the players were motivated enough to compete against superstars like Ronaldo and others.
He also said that the players are ready to capitalize on their triumph over Switzerland to perform well in the competition.
