Patricia Asiedua, alias Nana Agradaa, the founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, remains detained despite changes to her bail terms.
This is due to the defendant’s inability to comply with the court-ordered bail conditions, notwithstanding his plea of not guilty to accusations of making false statements in an advertisement and defrauding by false pretenses.
Agradaa was first given bail by Bright Samuel Acquah-presiding court in the amount of GH50,000 with three sureties.
The three sureties had to be government employees making at least GH2,000 per month in order to comply with the bail requirements.
However, the court increased the GH50,000 bond with three sureties to GH100,000 with five sureties who are not civil workers but rather businessmen who reside in the capital in response to the accused’s attorneys’ request for a variation.
