Lawrence Abrokwa, a former spouse of Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, better known as Afia Schwarzenegger, a media figure, was detained in March 2020 and later granted bail in the amount of GHC 20,000.00 with three sureties for failing to appear in court.
Abrokwa was being held on two counts of domestic violence, including emotional, verbal, and psychological abuse, threats of harm, assault, publication of obscene material, carrying an offensive weapon, causing unlawful damage, and stealing, but he failed to appear in court on the scheduled date for the High Court judge’s decision, Mrs. Justice Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.
You may remember that Afia Schwarzenegger sued his ex-husband for sending out films of her in her undress and for threatening her with something he said was acid.
Afia revealed that she had experienced domestic abuse while residing with the spouse she married in 2016 when their marriages terminated and so reported her ex-husband.
