As part of their preparation for their matchday 23 match against Karela United on Saturday, March 25, 2023, Accra Hearts of Oak have practiced for the first time on their new Astro-Turf at Pbiman Training Center.
Hearts chose to practice on Crosby Awuah Memorial Park’s artificial grass because it is Karela’s home field.
Two training pitches, one with artificial grass and the other with natural turf, have been finished at the Pobiman Training Centre, a contemporary training facility that is still under construction.
The club posted a video of their first practice on synthetic grass to YouTube to show off the development of Ghana’s first club-owned, state-of-the-art training facility.
Fourth-placed Hearts of Oak, which is four points behind league leaders Aduana Start, will need to avoid losing in order to maintain their title chances.
They will compete against the struggling Karela United team, who are only two points out of safety.
