Sista Afia, a Ghanaian singer, said in a recent interview with the media that she would never listen to music created by Efia Odo.
According to her, she has ears for only good music, which is why she will not bother to listen to Efia Odo’s latest singles; ‘Going To The Bag’ and ‘Roll Over’.
Sista Afia said that Efia Odo is not a musician in her eyes.
“I haven’t listened to any of her songs, and I don’t regard her as a musician. I mean Efia is somebody I wouldn’t listen to her music. Maybe she is probably doing it for fun or something,” Sista Afia stated in an interview with blogger Zionfelix in February 2023.
Efia Odo responded to Sista Afia’s remark about her song on the Unitedl Showbiz Show by saying that she was not particularly concerned by it.
She asserted that she is free to hold such opinion. She said, “That’s OK; it’s her view, and she has a right to it.
Efia Odo continued by saying that she wouldn’t mind if many people disregarded her music either because she wrote all of her songs out of passion and didn’t need anyone else’s permission to be happy with them.
“I would never be worried if Ghanaians disregard my music because I produce my songs from a passionate place. So if some Ghanaians don’t regard me as a musician, it is fine, there would definitely be people who regard me as such,” Efia Odo stated.
Sista Afia claims that despite the two, Efia Odo and Sista Afia, having expressed regret to one another, they are not friends.
