At Kasoa Millennium City in the Central Region, 71-year-old father Efo Kwasi Joseph amputated two fingers off his 11-month-old biological son using a carpenter’s saw.
On March 14, 2023, a Tuesday, in the late afternoon, the occurrence took place.
The suspect’s wife, Juliana Amenasor, claims that she was horrified to watch her infant boy lose his fingers after her carpenter husband brought the youngster to his workshop and chopped his fingers.
According to the information acquired, the suspect repeatedly threatened to cut his son’s fingers for money rituals and warned that he would do so, but his wife always corrected him.
The infant is in bad condition, according to the suspect’s wife in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan.
She continued, saying that she needed money for both surgery and to purchase the expensive meds that doctors had ordered. She pleaded with the public for financial assistance.
In order to act as a deterrence to others, the mother has requested that the Inspector General of Police step in and bring charges against the husband.
The Millennium City police have received a complaint of the incident for inquiry.
