For stealing palm oil and palm kernel at Abeadze Towoboase in the Central Region, a guy thought to be in his late 20s wearing a fire service uniform was apprehended and thrashed until he was rendered unconscious.

On March 15, 2023, at dawn, the suspect was apprehended in possession of more than ten gallons of palm oil and palm kernel that had been taken from a palm oil plant.

The suspect is thought to be a false fire service officer because he refused to show his identity card or identify the fire station where he works when questioned.
