In the Cyprus Premier League on Thursday, Doxa’s 2-0 victory over Karmiotissa was made possible in large part by Ghanaian attacker Ernest Asante. Doxa climbed to 11th place on the league table as a result of the game, which was played at Makario Stadium.
The game kicked off with a contentious penalty call that favored Doxa. Forward Berat Sadik, 36, scored from the penalty spot in the 11th minute to give Doxa the lead right away. Following a review by the Video Assistant Referee, the authorities decided to impose the penalty.

Ernest Asante quickly doubled Doxa’s lead with a superb goal. From the edge of the box, he picked up a stray pass, and with a precise shot, he gave his team the lead and the win.
Doxa is now three points clear of the relegation zone thanks to this victory. With appearances in 12 games and three goals this season, Asante has performed admirably.
