Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich has claimed that football legend and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo congratulated him after he completed his transfer to Bayern.
Many people adore Mane because of his wonderful personality, and it appears that Ronaldo is one of them because the Portuguese player had positive things to say about the transfer after meeting the Senegalese in Spain.
Mane claims that he first met the former Real Madrid player in Mallorca, where the latter informed him of the size of Bayern.
“I met Cristiano Ronaldo in Mallorca before this season after my move was completed. He congratulated me and told me: ‘A great club. This is a great step for you,'” he spoke with SportBild.
According to the two-time African Player of the Year, Ronaldo’s comments confirm how superior the Bundesliga is to the widely held perception that the German top division is inferior.
“That says everything about the Bundesliga and underlines what I’ve already said: I think you underestimate the Bundesliga here. The recent performances in the Champions League prove that.”
After completing a £35 million transfer from Liverpool, Sadio Mane signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich during the 2022 summer transfer window.
The Senegalese had a promising beginning to live at Bayern, but in November he sustained an injury that kept him out of action for roughly three months.
He scored for Bayern in their match against Stuttgart after making his injury comeback last month.
