Kwame Dadzie, a well-known entertainment journalist, has joined the Multimedia Group.
Kwame Dadzie left his position at Citi TV/FM, a company owned by Omni Media, in December 2022.
Prior to his resignation, Kwame hosted the entertainment segment “Celebrity Radar” on Traffic Avenue, the late-afternoon programme on Citi FM, and served as the entertainment anchor for Citi TV’s morning program Breakfast Daily.
He developed programs like “Saturday Live” and “30 Minutes” while working at Citi TV.
The contentious entertainment journalist is renowned for his insightful articles on industry-related topics, particularly his critiques of music, and his interesting interviews.
Kwame began his career in the media in 2009 when he worked for Krush FM, a Koforidua-based online radio station.
In the following three years, he worked at three radio stations in Koforidua (Sunrise FM, Eastern FM, and Emak FM) as a producer and panelist for various entertainment shows. He also presented the hottest entertainment program in the Eastern Region, Arts and People, on Vision FM in Koforidua. He received nominations for Best Radio Personality in the Eastern Region in the Radio and TV Personality Awards in 2014 and 2015 because of that show.
In 2014, he served as Campus Edition’s host on the same network.
In the GN Bank Awards’ Best Entertainment Journalist category, he received two nominations.
He presented Gospel Countdown on Care TV and Flex on Pluzz on Pluzz FM in Accra.
From 2009 to 2017, he served as the deputy editor of the Flex entertainment publication.
Kwame has worked as a public relations officer (PRO) for a variety of artists, businesses, and associations, such as the Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG), a group of Ghanaian arts writers, journalists, and media professionals who aim to advance the profession and the welfare of its members while promoting Ghana’s arts, tourism, and culture reporting.
He has served on the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards board thrice (2021 and 2022).
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Ghana before beginning his teacher training at the Presbyterian Training College (now the Presbyterian College of Education) in Akropong-Akuapem.
Gifty Abena Marfoa Nyamekye, a manager at the University of Cape Coast, and Dadzie are wed.
