In Gomoa Akroful in the Central Region, the New Patriotic Party treasurer for the Gomoa Central constituency is accused of violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Beatrice Eshun, the victim, claimed she was picked up Monday night by an acquaintance of her ex-boyfriend, Eric Sakyi aka Kojo Sankara, to accompany him to a location in Agona Swedru.
Later, she discovered that her ex-boyfriend was hiding in the car, so she made the decision to cancel the trip.
But when she rejected the two people’s attempts to push her into their car, they allegedly beat her up.
The two were arrested, but later released after she managed to make her way to the Agona Swedru Police Station and present her case.
Beatrice Eshun claimed that now that the suspects have been released from police custody, her life is in danger in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan.
She states that despite the fact that she no longer dates the suspect and is now dating someone else, the suspect still calls her and begs her to go out with him.
She claims that when she refused, the suspect has continued to threaten to murder her for seeing another man.
In the meantime, all attempts to obtain the suspect’s side of the story failed.
The victim has been released from the Agona Swedru Hospital where she is currently receiving medical care.
