The African Nations Championship (CHAN) quarterfinal matchup between Ghana and Niger will take place in Algeria
This was verified on Tuesday night, when Niger defeated Cameroon to win Group E.
Niger defeated Cameroon 1-0 to take top place in the group and eliminate Cameroon.
The Cameroonians needed a draw to advance, but were startled in the 69th minute by a well-taken free kick by Ousseini Badamassi.
As Niger advanced to face Ghana in the round of eight on Saturday, Cameroon’s final-minute opportunity to score was unsuccessful.
The game will take place at Oran’s Miloud Hadefi Stadium.

Algeria will play Ivory Coast in the other quarterfinal encounter, Senegal will play Mauritania, and Madagascar will play Mozambique.
While Madagascar or Mozambique will take on either Senegal or Mauritania, the victor of the Niger-Ghana encounter will play either Algeria or Ivory Coast in the semifinals.
