Charles Kwadwo Fosu, better known as Daddy Lumba, a veteran of Ghanaian highlife, has finally spoken out in response to Great Ampong’s charges that his song “Ofon Na di As3m Fo” is a diss track for him.
The “Gyae Su” hitmaker, Daddy Lumba claimed in an interview with Nyansa Boakwa on Happy FM that he learned about this when Daddy Lumba went to record the song in 2017 or 2018.
Ampong revealed that after finishing the song’s recording, a member of the owner of DL FM’s staff came to tell him.
Last Saturday, renowned music producer Roro released a sneak peek of Ampong’s upcoming single, which has already generated buzz.
He hit Daddy Lumba hard and even made fun of his potbelly.
Even though Great Ampong hasn’t yet released the entirety of his song criticizing Daddy Lumba, the excerpt has already become a social media hit.
In the midst of the uproar, Daddy Lumba has finally spoken out to dispel the rumors that he created his song “Ofon Na di Asm Fo” with Great Ampong in mind because they don’t get along due to claims that he betrayed him.
Daddy Lumba claims that his song is not an oblique assault on anyone in a statement made this morning on his privately owned FM station, DL FM.
Since Daddy Lumba stated that he had no specific person in mind when writing the song’s lyrics, the notion that “banger” is a diss song for Great Ampong should be disregarded.
